About Me.

I grew up on Maryland's Eastern Shore, surrounded by farmland, rivers, and forests. Exploring nature, building tree forts, and finding hidden paths sparked the creativity and problem-solving instincts that still drive me today. My path has taken many turns, from civil engineering to architecture to product design, each adding new layers to how I think and create.

Today, Product Design is the perfect intersection of creativity, critical thinking, and impact for me. My varied experiences shape a holistic design philosophy that blends technical rigor with imaginative exploration.

Education & Athletics

My Path to Discipline & Teamwork

2021-2022

Education, M.Ed.
Harvard

Focusing on innovation, technology, and leadership sharpened my ability to reimagine learning and problem-solving. Through research and collaboration, I explored how emerging technologies and strong leadership drive meaningful change, bridging technology, business, and human impact.

Activities: iLab (Harvard Innovation Lab)

2015

UX Design Certificate
General Assembly

I earned my UX certificate at General Assembly, where hands-on projects in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing equipped me with industry-standard tools and best practices. This immersive experience enhanced my ability to craft engaging digital experiences.

2011-2014

Architecture, M.S.
University of Colorado

I developed a strategic approach to design, tackling complex spatial challenges with a focus on the social, cultural, and physical environment of a space. By exploring solutions that balance form and function, I combined innovative ideas with practical applications, creating impactful, human-centered designs through research, digital exploration, and physical models.

Activities: AIAS (American Institute of Architecture Students)

2000-2005

Civil Engineering, B.S.C.E.
Ohio University

I acquired the technical knowledge and practical skills to design, develop, and maintain critical infrastructure. I gained proficiency in structural design, transportation systems, and environmental engineering through coursework and project-based learning. This education refined my ability to problem-solve, think critically, and collaborate.

Activities: SWE Student Representative (Society of Women Engineers), ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers)

Athletics: Division I Women's Lacrosse Team

2000-2005

Division I Lacrosse

Playing Division 1 women's lacrosse taught me the value of high-level competition, instilling discipline, teamwork, and resilience that drive my success both on and off the field.

2002-2005

Canadian National Lacrosse Team

Making the final roster for Team Canada and competing in the 2005 World Cup taught me that excellence is earned through focus, discipline, and commitment to the team over self. Today, I bring that mindset to leadership by developing talent, embracing accountability, and building teams that trust one another to perform.
