Design Leadership

As a design leader, I focus on clarity, collaboration, and empowering teams to do their best work. I’ve built and led multidisciplinary design teams, established scalable systems, and partnered closely with product and engineering to deliver complex solutions.

I lead with a team-first mindset and set clear, shared standards for collaboration, quality, and ownership.  I then focus on developing individuals by supporting growth, accountability, and progression to the next level.

Navigating Ambiguity

I do my best work in environments where things aren’t fully defined. I’m used to stepping into problems without a clear playbook.  Asking questions and identifying gaps helps my teams move forward even when the path isn’t obvious. Navigating ambiguity, unblocking progress, and creating clarity as we go are core parts of how I lead and contribute.

Building From 0 to 1

I’ve led and supported multiple 0-to-1 initiatives, taking products from early concept through launch. That experience has given me a deep appreciation for the full product lifecycle and the tradeoffs required to ship. I’m comfortable making decisions with imperfect information and focusing on getting to “good and usable,” not waiting for perfect.

Advocating for Better Design Practices

Advocacy is a big part of my role. I regularly push for stronger research practices, clearer design standards, and more scalable systems. When resources are limited, I look for practical ways to move things forward such as influencing priorities, finding lightweight solutions, or building momentum over time.

Designing Within Business Constraints

I understand how products get built inside real organizations. Working within competing priorities and limited resources has shaped how I think about systems, tradeoffs, and impact. I’m comfortable discussing design decisions in business terms and partnering closely with product and engineering to align on what matters most.

A Hands-On, Builder Mindset

As the industry continues to shift toward builders and problem-solvers, I bring a hands-on, adaptable approach to design leadership. I stay close to the work, help teams navigate complexity, and focus on learning quickly and delivering meaningful outcomes, not just polished artifacts.
